This project involved the complete refurbishment of a contemporary building, which previously served as the ANZ bank data centre. The job specifications included providing in excess of 3,000 sqm of office space, as well as delivering ample onsite car parking.
The client, Golder Associates, is a respected global company providing consulting, design and construction services in earth, environment and energy.
Structural integrity
This secure facility, adjacent to the interstate bus terminal, includes significant backup power provision and noteworthy structural integrity.
Due to the significant emphasis on security in the building’s original design, Commercial & General implemented several key design strategies to assist in transforming the structure into a welcoming and efficient office space. Through the demolition of over 700m2 of external precast walling, replaced with high performance glass and louvres, natural light was increased and views leveraged from the upper office floors, all whilst maintaining compliance with current energy efficiency standards.
Environmental focus
The refurbished building is expected to conform to a minimum 4 Star NABERS green rating. Commercial & General endorses a measured and collaborative approach to an environmental focus.
