Commercial & General is the driving force behind the Australian Bragg Centre – a new $500m cancer centre that will have the potential to change lives for thousands of patients across the country.
It will be home to the first proton therapy unit in Australia, delivering the most technologically advanced precision radiation therapy to people who would normally travel overseas for their treatment. Located in Adelaide’s BioMed precinct, The Australian Bragg Centre has been made possible through an innovative partnership between the private sector and Federal and State governments.
Commercial & General designed, funded and developed the business case, in collaboration with SAHMRI, and provided nearly $400m in project finance – ensuring this next-generation piece of health infrastructure will be delivered through a significant public private partnership.
Construction on the 15-storey premises will support 1,000 jobs and generate an estimated $1b in economic activity during construction. Practical completion is anticipated by late 2023 with the first patients expected to be treated approximately 18 months later. Discover more about Australian Bragg Centre here.
